    who here makes money with blogs?

    I see a lot of folks putting up lots of blogs that are nothing more than a collection of sponsor feeds and gallery listings and then linking to other blogs that feature largely the same content.

    I'd like to know if any of these folks are making any money and if so, how much?

              We have a few affiliates that do quite well with blogs, but I would say 90% of them out there are just a waste of space...

                  We provide 18 different niches RSS feeds, but if a blog is nothing but those feeds, it's likely going to lack personality that might gain it more traffic. A good blogger should add their own articles and use RSS feeds as a compliment to their existing entries.

                      When what you have is thousands of "websites" - all using the same content and all linking amongst themselves - it doesn't seem like a reliable recipe for profitability.

                      I haven't seen one that makes more than beer money, but I am still looking.

                          As a side note on sponsor tools (RSS feeds and the like), I haven't seen any that I'd want to use (but would love example links here).

                          For example, I tested a WordPress theme provided by one of my sponsors.

                          It induced 90 validation errors into my code (it's not like I can't fix them, but I shouldn't have to rewrite the damn template)

                          It also displayed material covered by 2256 which left the site non-compliant with 2257

                          Needless to say, I removed it.

                          So, if you have amateur / milf feeds that will actually validate and feature non-nude images so there's no 2257 worries, I'd love to see them.

                              I agree. If you're not going to use original content, you're not thinking in the long term and it's just constant effort every day for the rest of your fucking lives... if those types of blogs even last that long. You want to work hard in the beginning and let your original and creative ideas pay you back. Blogs that are merely sponsor feeds are a waste of space. Google's going to crack down on spam blogs too if people keep putting this kind of shit up.

                                  Probably about the same ratio as your affiliates that own TGP's, submit galleries, etc etc.

                                      I'm doing very well with my blogs. There converting great for me. The two main programms I am promoting are Bang Bros and Juggcash. Bangbros is at 1:121 and Juggcash at 1.99 as I type this.

                                      oh and I don't use RSS feeds

                                                          I guess if I produced my own content it would be a big deal, but I just put pictures on the web, I hardly think i will spend 75 years in prison because I put a naked 25 year old on the web. in fact, I dare the government to come after me, it would be fun to fight that one in the court of public opinion

                                                              I started building a lot of blogs a few months ago and I'm making money with them. I don't use sponsor feeds either. I have I think 22 of them and I update them all myself.

                                                              I was updating them each every three days or so, but lately I've been doingless updates and my traffic and sales still remain the same.
                                                              In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

                                                                  well, like I said, I'd rather keep this focused, but I'm sure that many GFY'ers could care less about the laws governing their businesses.

                                                                  2257 isn't just about those producing their own content, but about all domestic operators placing imagery covered by 2256 on the web (or elsewhere)

                                                                  sadly, it won't be "the court of public opinion" you'd fight it in, but a federal court, although it wouldn't likely get that far, as your attorney would convince you to sign a plea deal (which would likely include jail time).

                                                                  of course, if instead of daring the government to come after you on GFY you'd like to do it for real, I have the phone number of the lead inspector – he could help you out.

The TGP is long since gone, but I discovered I enjoyed the blog.

                                                                              In my blog I document my travels, photos of me and mostly solo girls at different shows - then hint it's possible I'm dating them. I post on a lot of non adult forums (mostly Mustang forums) which allow mw to put a link to my blog in my sig. I also get a fair amount of traffic from google and yahoo pictures searches.
