Someone in my building keeps leaving crap in the hallway...

So I left a note on this POS "butt shaping aerobic" device that some idiot left in the hallway, hoping and praying that someone else will take it into their place.

I left this note on it:

I have a great idea.
Let?s all be lazy punks and
leave our shit in the hallway.

How about the
elevator? I think the
elevator needs more

My girlfriend told me she thinks this is offensive, because "clearly this building has a 'culture' in which this sort of thing is welcome". I'm not welcoming it.

What would you do? Some assholes have also been leaving broken random crap in the elevator. One of those plastic storage carts that was missing all of it's drawers, and a box of random mostly empty hair products. WTF...

I've actually taken a bunch of their crap out to the dumpster. My girlfriend said "they obviously think SOMEONE is taking it, so they think it's OK to leave it here."

That's why I left the note this time.

Maybe I'll move it right in front of someone else's door next time instead of in front of the elevator. Maybe if I make it an issue, people will take notice.

I was actually thinking of taking a picture of it and putting it on the bulletin board with a note.

The only reason we're in Oakland is because my girlfriend works in downtown Oakland and has a major disdain for long commute times and sitting in traffic.
