Download the trial version from the site. It includes various updates. Follow the instructions. Should work fine.

wrong their is no update, it breaks in 3.0.4.

please do not update to 3.0.4 if you use uugallery currently.

since uugallery hacks core files (big nono) in wp-admin you would have to update it everytime you upgrade a version of wordpress, so until this is a real plugin which is hopefully soon, only then will I even go near this software.

So whoever updated to 3.0.4 and uses uugallery you are up shit creek, and the only viable option is to downgrade to 3.0.3 until the developer makes it work with 3.0.4.

I have only updated a few as of now...but they were the ones I was useing uu on and actively updating.

Oh fris is right, I did not realize Word Press upgraded yet again since my last update. I spoke with the UU guy last week and he told me that he is working on an actual plug-in instead of this annoying hack we have to deal with.

I was told the same thing back in July -- and that a new update would soon be coming out.

I'm using the new UUGallery update (3.36) with WP 3.0.4 on two sites and they seem to be working just fine. What did it break?

Update:

UUGallery does work in WordPress 3.0.4 -- You just need to make sure you replace your edit-form-advanced.php and post.php files -- I don't recall doing it my past couple WordPress updates and completely forgot.

It's New Years, update for WP was just released a short few days ago, I have no problems at all waiting for a few days for the UU to get updated.

Can't expect the guy to rewrite/update minutes after WP does, especially on the holiday.

EDIT - And guys, uploading/replacing 2 files when you install is nowhere near as big a deal as some make it out to be.

It's really simple, if you don't like it, don't use it, saying you'd never use it or recommend it is completely retarded.

As long as the content requires some kind of thought. Posting a gallery of content downloaded from a sponsor into a CMS intended for a blog is retarded.

I'm trying to get UUGallery up & running for a small specialist members site consisting of pics, vids & articles. Apparently, UUG needs ffmpeg installed to convert video to flv. This seems to be pretty techie. Is there an installer or something for non-techies to get ffmpeg working?
