    As I pulled into Starbucks today . . .

    Something crossed my mind.

    In the beginning, all cars were black. It was a major milestone when the rainbow of colors became available. However, these days it seems the black is the predominant color out there.

    Did they waste their time adding all these other colors when they could have just concentrated on making black cooler?

          Not yet. Why the hell would you not have tint? Does it really matter the color of the car if your windows aren't tinted?

          Besides, black looks really good with tinted windows.

                                          Well in the beginning it was the Henry Ford assembly line process and the beginning of the automobile revolution. Problem is with black cars, they are like some babes, nice to look at but very high maintenance. They look great on some but I have a black SUV and I gotta get it washed every 2 weeks and every little scratch or ding shows up on it.

                                          My next car will be silver or dark green..

                                              black is the best colour EVER for cars. period. i lived in AZ and had all black cars. yes it's hot. but that's what happens when the temperature elevates. (that actually happens everywhere.)

                                                  As far as tint, last I knew here in Jersey you can't have ANY tint on the driver or passenger windows. So basically every time you're out on the road you risk a ticket. I've gotten one so far after having tint on my windows for about 6 years now and pulled over once without a ticket just a warning. *knock on wood*

                                                      Well, since the residents of NJ aren't qualified to pump their own gas, I can understand how tinted windows might cause a problem for them.

I walked up and down my street and not one single black car. I dont remember the last time I saw a black car...I think it was when I was living in NY....hehe
                                                          My car is close, it a dark blue. I remember when I bought it I wanted black but the dealer would have had to order it and I was impatient LOL

                                                                                          You are not crazy, just brave. My car gets hot when I run errands and I leave it in the sun for 20 minutes. I don't even want to touch the door handle because I know how hot it will be. I wish there were more places that had shade here to park your car under. At home I just put it in the garage.
