Content sells, yes. So do computers. Insurance. Loans. Online music services. Etc. Etc.
Content is one product affiliates sell. If content didn't exist, they would sell something else. If sellers didn't exist, what would content do?
Really, the debate is old and tired, both content and affiliates benefit each other. There's no reason to go back and forth.

The paper is not doing anything wrong. They write articles for their readers, and apparently their readers want to know this shit. It's more a sign of what the people in the area are like, and societies continued hypocritical hate toward the adult industry.
Our society NEEDS an enemy at all times. Whether it was blacks and women in the early 20th Century, to homosexuals, porn producers, and muslims in today's society. People want to feel like they are above others, and this is how they do it.Comment

Sounds like Cable was a content thief with good timing. Stealing now would be far less profitable. For those crying foul, face the facts: You are in a business admired in private and ridiculed in public. The taboo nature of it also makes it more profitable. Most of you have no idea what the adult business was like 20 years ago. This type of outing and humiliation was commonplace.

This guy wasn't "outed" because of what he does for a living. He was outed because someone - his girlfriend / mother of his children - called the police from his house claiming she was assulted. When the cops show up the owner of the house is hiding behind a locked door and instead the cops find a drugged out model.
If this happens at any house in the US, cops will show up in force.
Two weeks ago at 3am in the morning I was woken up by someone banging on my front door. After turning on all the lights and checking out who it was, I opened up to the door to find four police officers on my door step. Turns out someone called the police claiming there was some kind of domestic violence thing going on. Even though I work in porn, I invited them into my house at 3am in the morning. I don't have any drugs in the house, no weapons, and surely no drugged out models.
Turns out who ever was fighting was a couple of doors down.
But - If I refused to open up my door, hid behind a locked door, the cops came to get me to question me only to discover someone stoned to the gills..... it would have ended very differently.

I could give two shits what people think of ME, BUT, if it affects my children in the least, then I'm gonna keep it as close to the vest as possible.
It's happened in the past with close "Friends" who made it public what I do for a living and all of a sudden my son wasn't allowed to play with a mutual friend's daughter. He was 3 at the time I think, so it was pretty easy to explain it away as Mommy and the other lady had a fight...which was the truth.
With my son and daughter approaching double digits though, I sure as hell wouldn't want to try to explain to them that their being ostracized at school because "Daddy is a bad man" isn't quite as it seems. No explanation is going to matter if they don't have any friends.Comment

So your source is very outdated. If they knew me, they would have actual recent pictures of me. Not pictures where you can't even make people out and not pictures at least 7 years old. If that is me, those pics were taken between March 1998 and January 2000. I must not have talked to your source since then. So like I said your source is full of it.Comment

Honestly I can't tell if it is me or not. You can hardly make anyone out in either picture. If it were clear then it would be easier. Whoever took those pics sucked at photography. I also did do only one Hooters swimsuit contest and that was in a white bikini. I never wore a red one. So I can't imagine what that picture would be from. Hooters has you wear your uniform to promotions, not a swimsuit. As for your contact, I still think you are full of shit. They may have known me back when I worked at Hooters, but I have not talked to them since. I only talk to a few of the girls still, and they do not recognize those pics either.
