I have two teenage boys. They have a vague idea of what I do. They keep asking me if when I die, if they get to inherit Gisele ....
Not sure how to take that.
I would love for them to be able to work within my company and possibly take over in some aspects, however, I am not going to force it on them. If it's something they want to do, great. If not, I'm ok with that too. My son is 18 and my daughter is 8. The boy is almost done with his study interaction design and knows what I do.
It's amazing to see what kind of knowledge the youngsters have in terms of web, usability and also marketing wise.

My daughter is just 6 months old. I am not ashamed of what I do, but I'd prefer that she doesn't grow up to take over my business. I don't plan on being in this business forever and I am hoping for an early retirement, but we shall see how things go.

Really funny idea how I one day I give my blogs to my son and saying "all these blogs with hardcore porn are now yours son", but that is probably not gonna happen. Even though I don't have kids, if I do have kids, I'd like to see them pursue their own business rather than inheriting mine. There's a lot more joy and satisfaction in starting from nothing and going big than being given something big and hoping they don't mess it up. The failures you experience in running a business is what will eventually make your business successful, without experiencing those failures, you'll be missing out on a lot of running a business.

My daughter is just turned 17, and has expressed an interest n doing "Suicide Girl" type pictures ... (she has been modeling since she was 12)
She knows that I have experience in the biz, and has asked me how she should go about it, presumably after she turns 18 ...

My son is 9 and he knows I do web design but it?s all under my mainstream company GreenArrowDesigns. Thankfully I have lots of years before he?s 18 but I would hope he goes his own direction in life. Right now he swears he?s going to be the next Lebron James. He practices everyday and is getting pretty good for a 9 year old. It?s a great way for me to get him to eat his vegetables too. I have two sons. Both of whom are healthy 'red blooded American lads' with a keen interest in the opposite sex and absolutely no interest what-so-ever in what their father does for a living.
