No, lots of bootlegs here have been doing that for a while. I've never looked to see where they link to, my guess is a Chinese or Thai website selling more crap online or child porn. QR codes are everywhere over here once you start looking for them but most of them link to garbage. People are even making stickers and posting them about with Wikileaks info about Thailand where they speak poorly of the royal family.
Good move to do it in the USA. I have no idea how popular they are there but I wish EVERYONE put them on EVERYTHING. Life would be easier. I'm pretty new to the whole smart phone thing so maybe I'm just still easily amazing by the codes, but I think they are brilliant. I'm actually surprised all the DVD companies are not doing this.Comment

This is more about what goes on before someone buy's our DVD. Lets say you're browsing around a store and come across a a DVD that looks interesting. You check out the packaging and are debating about purchasing the title. What is the first thing most with smart phones do now? Google the title for reviews.
With QR code technology we allow smart phone users to watch a PG trailer of our titles, giving them another taste of what's in store for them and to help make educated purchases. This technology also allows you to send text data to a user's phone, URLs (review sites, VOD links, etc.) and send SMS Texts for mobile billing (if the option ever comes around for porn)
The technology has a lot of promise and possibilities so it's fun to ask yourself "how can this tech benefit my company?"
