I read somewhere that he got very bad critics for his paintings, but the above don't look that bad. But nowadays, the worse and childish a painting looks, the higher value it has, just so some snobs can feel special.

thats the paradox of evil, no matter how bad the person is or how bad the things they have ever done there is always some good in everyone. That would make the opposite true as well.

Most truly artistic people are borderline insane. I've always wondered how differently things would have worked out, if Hitler was accepted into the art world. Likely his focus in life (and the world as we know it) would have been totally different.

He didn't hate Jews in 1914-1917. Everything has happened a bit later after Jewish Communist riots in Bavaria...

Some of the impetus for his rage came from being rejected by the German art scene he tried so hard to gain respect from. Turn of the century was a frenzied time for art and Hitler's work was sophomoric at best when compared to his contemporaries.

He did and one of the harshest was from his painting/art teacher. Told him he would never make it as an artist and he should look for something else.

good point. weren't the maojority (yuk yuk) of those deaths by hunger? whereas the majority of deaths under stalin were murdered?
