** D-Money Presents a new event for Rock artists - help me name it**

Well, I'm going to give it a try and do rock shows in addition to the normal hip hop / rap themed Players Ball.

No worries, Players Ball is a live and well, continuing it's normal course and progression.

But I can't have a party called Players Ball and throw rock bands on stage.

So I've regged some names today. And I'm still open minded to change up the name if someone can throw me a great suggestion (if I can grab the domain).

Here's what I have so far.

The front runner is,

ROCKTHEBALL.COM

other names I'm considering is
ROCKNROLLEVENT.COM
or

ROCKANDROLLPARTY.COM

If I want to keep the "Players Ball" name in it, I grabbed this one:

You don't have to worry about that.

Too Short is cool, still has hits, still OG classic, but with our crowd, we've seen plenty of him already.

The decision is, do I go away from the "Players" brand for a new creation? Or do I continue a brand I've built for almost 10 years. It's a true marketers question. Start a new brand and keep them 2 different animals or should they share some likeness but with rock groups.

I'd suggest, if you wanna keep Players in the name for branding, that you try PlayersRockTheBall, it flows better than PlayersBallRocks

Plus it's descriptive, you players are gonna rock the ball!

If you want to go separate then:

RockersBall.com is the Ying to the Yang of PlayersBall.com.

Treat it as a new creation and feed it with the Players brand if you have to until it can stand by itself. Then you have double the marketing power. IMHO this would be better than diluting the Players brand with multiple similar nights.

I am sure some die hard rock fan full time webmasters would make this their first show if you got a big name and sponsors would jump at the chance to chat with some of these rarely seen guys face to face for the first time.

Ya never know, it might even dwarf the Players Ball one day.

I'd love to get the Chili Peppers. One thing that I know FOR SURE. D$ will present another huge event for rock shows. I even said that third person, so it's gonna happen.

Good opinion by the way.

I think I'll stay away from the Players brand. I'm up for a new challenge, let the new creation have it's own life on it's own merits.

So now, it's between

RockTheBall (which I love)

RockersBall - I love that too because it is similar to Players Ball. I like the way that would look on hats and merch.

But my gut instincts tell me that Rock The Ball sounds more like it has an edge and more of the attitude I'm looking for.

I want an event with a rock and roll attitude.

RockTheBall sounds like you're ready to go party and rock that shit.

But still, I'm torn.

My mind will be made up in the next 5 minutes, then my design will be made for it.

I'm from Cleveland, the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame city.
