A Cook's Tour by Anthony Bourdain and 100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I keep starting and stopping the Marquez, but I'm determined to make it through the entire book.

Ooh, is the Bourdain book filled with great smartass comments? I'm putting it on my list. I love that man.

I have 100 Years of Solitude too, but haven't cracked it yet. LMK when you finish it and if it's worth cracking!!

It's not as smart-assy as you might think, but it's still classic Bourdain and per usual, he writes extremely well. If you love that kind of Bourdain food-snark, you should read his guest blog on Ruhlman. I was actually giddy the first time I read it.

I'll let you know about 100 Years of Solitude. I've been slogging through it and hope its going to take off soon.
