I didn't say he acted professionally in this. (yes, I now you're not directing the post at me, but I'm answering just for something to do) I think he got the part where he overreacted. But look at things in this manner (no, I'm not excusing him, I'm offering a new look at things.): He hired a bunch of people to do stuff for him. Not all of them came through. I know what it's like to do work for someone and not get paid for it, so I can imagine that it royally sucks balls to pay for something and not get it done.
If EB was unprofessional in this, then so was jellohead by not keeping his/her/its employer notified of what was going on. that's also good business on the freelancer's part. Keep your contractor notified if things are behind schedule, work cannot be completed, something needs clarification, etc. So what if you wentout and got a job, congrats, but you still have a job to finish for this person as well. You can't just take the money and run.
I still have a great deal of respect for EscortBiz. He paid me and I did the work he needed (plus a bit more, but that was my bad, so he got it for free). I'm sorry that anger and stress made him go off like he did, but I'm not going to summarily drop any respect I had for him over an outburst of overreaction on his part.
He knows that he was wrong to overreact, but no one else seems able to drop it. No, instead they keep rubbing it in until it chafes so much that he snaps on someothers as well. Yeah, that's professional. fine, he went overboard. Now shut up and let the guy go on about life. When he cools off enough, I'm sure he'll apologize to whomever deserves an apology.
