I sent a message to a model who clearly does adult, but some how was detected and deleted.
So I suspect that the messaging system in Modelmayhem is not private.

yeah models can flag you or go and cry to the mods. One of the reasons I have been very delicate about any convos I have. I don't think they monitor convos. Not with over .5 million members. Maybe automated, but not manual

you are about the 5th guy I know who has complained about MM deleting your profile... all you had to do was pay the 100 bucks a year when you joined and you would be in pussy paradise like I am. They DON'T CARE if you are recruiting... as long as you are paying... and its well worth it...

Yes it truly amazes me how mental some of these models on MM can be from one day to the next.

The ones I message have done HARDCORE PORN, and still they run to the mods to report one for offering adult work.

MM is a fucking joke - they shut down accounts for networking for the adult industry which is their rule but only enforce it when they want and on who they want. Shitty photog Holly Randall is all over that place and they shoot hardcore. Brigham Field from X-Art has casting calls for hardcore shoots. There are casting calls for porn webcam models. I won't mention all the people from GFY who are on MM recruiting for the adult industry.

The messaging system IS NOT PRIVATE...some of the mods on there have publicly admitted they enjoy reading private messages on there.

I run advertisements looking for models every now and then on various sites but the vast majority of the girls from my site are directly recruited by myself out in public locations such as shopping malls, movie theaters, amusement parks...etc. But out of curiosity, I signed up with Modelmayhem in the past - only to get my account deleted immediately.

Hell, all ll I was advertising for was simple nude modeling.

The way the model sites behave totally pisses me off the entire time. It's a nasty feedback loop to make sure most girls don't make any money and keep on doing freebies for loosers. We're all looking at it from our perspective, but really its the girls that suffer. One way or another, when we need a model, we find a model and we get a shoot done, but what about a newbie on a model site? Models have a short potential working life and it's easy for them to waste a year on model site because they are duped into thinking that MM or OMP represents ALL the work choices available.

Some girls model out of vanity, but others choose it as a way to make a living because they are broke.

Any hot girl is totally aware the entire world wants to have sex with her; She does not need some sleazy middle aged fat bloke of a mod to look after her "best interests" by deleting porn jobs. it's HIM that needs porn jobs deleting if HE's to have a chance.

MM and all the rest go out of their way to keep porn out of site because if they didn't it would give girls real power over the TFCD and TFP wannabe 'togs (Anyone who calls themselves a tog, needs slapping upside the head!)

If models could see that:

1. Lots of porn work
2. Lots of porn shooters
3. That we expect to pay
4. We aren't any more sleazy than the rest, because our profiles don't keep disappearing
5. We are direct, because our profiles are HONEST, not all hinty and sideway to avoid bannage.

A lot more would choose porn than currently do.

Half the girls I find by other means have had profiles on at least one of model profile boards, which they end up deleting, because even by the low standards of models, broke ass amateurs are even more unreliable then them. They get messed about with cancelled shoots, prints and CDs that never appear or promises of future work that never come. They sign up hoping for some fun, some photos and maybe some money and end up getting none, so they quit.

I never ever have (or would choose to) talk girls into doing porn, but I frequently have a tough time convincing them that its for real - it is work, we do pay and the pictures will get published. They've been fucked around for so long and by so much by the model site BWCs (Blokes With Camera??) that they no longer think it's even possible to earn money from photos.

Porn isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it should be available as a choice. They may be 18, but that does make them adults capable of their own choices, instead they end up deceived by the genuinely sleazy model sites.

Go look at the feature set of any forum software you've every heard of. Peeking in on PM's is always there. PM's aren't sent as email - they're stored in the database as you have to login to go see them, which would make it very easy indeed to hack if the feature didn't exist. Anyone who doesn't assume ANY PM is being read is probably a diplomat...

Nicely put... the main reason I've never had an MM account, and only briefly an OMP account, was that I didn't want to be associated with all the TFP wankers/losers/scammers/amateurs that haunt those sites.

That's not good, but why they deleted you?

I don't shoot content, but I know that all these sites- MM, OMP, etc etc don't care what you do or recruit for as long as you pay for the top level membership fee.

No surprise there. The key is to stay off the radar, or they nuke you.

I have more luck on craigslist for finding models. at least they finally added the nude feature for doing searches. why not create a few profiles so you have backups.

I offered a model paid work and told her to email or text me. She responded by saying she would only communicate through MM. I was like "WTF?"
