ok, let me ask you this. your brother is a cop who initiated this. your gf was also a reporting person from what i understand. i can tell you many departments will respond to a residence where they know there are firearms with an unstable person exactly as you have described the response.

i don't think you're lying. i don't think that you fought them. i don't think you did anything wrong except bring up suicide that someone took very serious.

your shrinks advice carries alot of weight with the police.
your brothers input carries alot of weight with the police.
your girlfriends input carried some weight.

do you have a history of police responses to your residence? and for what?

if so that affected the response as well depending on what the other calls were for. if they know you have firearms and heard you were suicidal that affected the response.

i really do wish you luck and if the cops used excessive force that is what the courts are there to decide. i'd be more pissed at my brother and gf unless you can see that they were trying to help you. domestic situations are the ugliest things that cops have to deal with.

again, i don't think you've said anything untrue. the courts will have to sort it out which is what it seems your seeking already. i would like to hear the outcome if you don't mind sharing later.

Moving on..... there is ONE thing I failed to mention.

I had a 9mm Ruger in the house.

And I believe that's what prompted the entire police force of the State of Hawaii to show up at my front door.

then they wanted the combo to the safe....
told 'em I forgot it.
they didn't believe me.
told 'em it didn't matter cuz you need a combo and a key, and I lost the key.
they said they'd take it to the station and smash it open.
I said go ahead.
then they got mad.....

they're still getting sued.

They had no right to come into my home.
My girlfriend...... I stress, "GIRLFRIEND".... gave them permission.

I wouldn't expect it to be televised.... my attorney is a whore and getting a call through to her is near impossible. That's why I know she's the right person.

Was this when they took you away? Or was this a seprate instance? If you have had history before with the law like that, then I can understand them having their guns drawn.

um... no. This happened 3 months ago.

I've had ZERO history with the law. They had no cause.

Not mean't as any criticism Amp, but there are two, if not more, sides to every story.

Depending on "previous" and possible motivations of others (not the law), some weird shit can happen. There will be paperwork/court/judges orders blah for whatever action taken by the police - if not, they are up shit creek.

Your lawyer will be doing whatever - and assume gathering any actual evidence - namely legal docs. If these are not available or cannot be produced - smell plenty shit
