    duracell my grid question

Does anyone have one of these or something similar? I want to charge up the battery for my still camera, can you use this for that?

My daughter's fiancee has one and it seems to work ok. He's not here right now and I don't know if they (him or my daughter) use it charge their cameras.

Its my daughter's birthday today, but I'll try to ask them when they get back. I now they use it for their phones, but the cameras I have no idea about.

try checking out the actual website and you will see it is for smart phones and ipods only.. You have to put on a different battery cover that allows the phones to charge.

I just called my daughter - they didn't buy one. You have to buy the charging units seperately for each device, so they passed it over.

So they say, "just clip on a sleeve and drop the phone on the myGrid".

Why is that any more convenient than just plugging in a charger? Now you have to locate some sleeve to charge your phone. It's an illusion of convenience.

Someone gave me the Powermat as a gift, and I can't even charge my Droid, because I have to pay 45 bucks for some accessory to make it work. Bullshit.

                  .
Exactly. It's a novelty product only. Thier TV adds make it apear like you can just put any electronic device on it and they will charge.
