Who is asking for your personal information? A resume usually contains max your name, address and phone number.

So edit out your address...

He is kinda right, you should at least provide SOME information about your company...

And just to clarify, I wasn't bashing him for posting a "help wanted", I was bashing him for not using a legit email address and not providing any details as you mention in your post. Maybe if he had some credibility here it would be different. I'm sure not going to email my CV to someone without a legit company email address and some further details. I guess some people don't care, but I value my privacy. My name, address and telephone number _ARE_ personal information, so are my past jobs, education details, the length and girth of my cawk, etc.


I post a help wanted ad on a board, use a throw away email like gmail/hotmail, I get people to reply and send me their CV, I now have enough information to get a good start on some identity theft. I'm not saying that's what this guy is doing, I'm just saying social engineering is far too easy and it happens to people _ALL_ the time without them even knowing.

I can see why someone would be hesitant.
