    iOS 4.2 will be out today!

    Finally! iOS 4.2 is coming today. Doesn't look like it is seeding yet but sometime during the day it will be there.

                                                      its not even that, its that I have my iPhone on my laptop and iPad on my desktop.... i want to combine them both onto my desktop

                                                                  Can someone tell me if there is a faster way to update?

                                                                  I'm on a 3g 8gb. I didn't update to 4.0 because of the slow down but 4.1 looked much better. I wanted to get it but the install was at 2 hours before I decided to hit cancel. How can I make the update faster?

                                                                  The thing is pretty much full. I have 4gb of music and 2gb apps.

                                                                  I thought deleting all the music would help, but on a retry, I still quite after abut an hour and a half. I don't want to lose my app data, so I'm thinking I have no choice but to sit through all the hours it takes to update. Am I mistaken? Is there a trick to this.

                                                                      Not sure why it takes that long. Download took about 5 mins. Phone was updated in 5 minutes or so.
