I had an argument with my gf about my business basically, i run a brothel but it is registered as a massage parlour (for legal reasons) its operated as a massage parlour and its clearly stated that all payments are for massages and use of the facilities, and anything else that happens is consensual between two adults, but for all intents and purposes its a brothel.
Mt gf has allways known this but never paticularly liked it. anyways we had a major argument cos she thinks i should go legit and im just not really sure about that. what do you all think i should do.

For all you people our their who may say that prostitution is terrible blah blah blah, ill just point out that its just another side of the adult industry that you love so much.

the reason im not bothered is cos its in manchester, the cops allready know about it and they choose to let it slide, being manchester they have alot bigger things to worry about. a manchester detective told me that as long as i run a clean business, dont hire any underage girls and dont allow drugs to be used on the premices they have no problem. Now i adhere to these rules, befor i take anyone on i ask for either a drivingliscenceor passpoas proof age and i onced fired a girl because i caught her smoking weed round the back. i just wanna make it clear why im concidering going legit, its not that i think my girl is gonna go to the cops, its just that im not sure if the risk is worth the benefit, i mean even tho the cops say they wont bust me, their is allways the chance that the might, and then their is the other hassles like dealing with the punters, having to hire security, and occasionally having to deal with the parents/boyfriends of the girls that work for me, i have had ppl threaten my life on more than on occasion.
This is generally the reason my girl think i should go legit. this plus the fact that it wouldnt actually take that much time effort or money for me to turn it into a legitimate massage parlour

its not that easy my good friend, you see like i said its technically registered as a business, all my acdcounting is done correctly, and like i said it is clearly stated that all the money i take from custmoers is for massages and anything else that goes on id just consensual between two adults. now technically its a brothel, legally tho its a massage parlour. the fact that my girls have sex with most of the clients doesnt legally make it a brothel, hence it would be very hard for them to prosecute.

Give you a clue man.... Tho not associated with massage parlors, but with the adult biz only in the UK. Over the years many folks have been hammered very severely for much, much lesser offenses than could be possible with the massage biz.

When the shit starts, it often looks minor, but can blow over time into a nightmare - actual examples are... custodial sentences for often *very* minor offenses. Can think of one obscene publications case (too absurd for words) where the "gravity" seemed to depend on the size of tits - it sure was not "hardcore" as we know it. That defendant got... think 12 months custodial, but we threw up an appeal and he was released in 30 days. But.. it never stopped there - the law passed his information to C&E and IR and they both chased him for.. around three years. Eventually they gave up - simply because there was no tax offenses, - but it still cost a lot of time and money with accountants/lawyers over that time.

Not familiar with the current status in the UK now, but understand there is now an official avenue for agencies to pass info to each other (that never existed then - it relied on whatever agency official being as malicious as possible).

Only talking about the main stream adult biz in the UK - if parlors entered the scenario or some form of drugs activity - all hell can break loose and last a good few years.

Can't remember the prostitution laws there - is it not an offense to knowingly operate premises where two or more girls are offering sexual services (brothel) and where money is transacted?

Seriously... you know that stuff, but does sound a possible source of a load of harassment - forgetting dealing with "staff"
