                                                              @ datatank, i reckon junction, cyf & wired guy are more so right with "happiness". Wealth is considered differently with substantial amounts by everyone, but happiness is the same to us all.

                                                              If you are content but want to progress, you're successfull, we could all do with a few more pounds in the bank

                                                                                      When i look around at what I have... girlfriend, cars, house, toys, etc., and know that Ive worked (and working) my ass off to get there.

                                                                                      Happiness is great, and to some that is being successful. Unfortunately for me, and I wish this wasnt the case, I consider being successful with possessions and no debt.

                                                                                      So there are time when I'm not happy, but know I'm successful... which kinda blows either way you look at it

                                                                                                              I second that. Nothing makes me feel more successful than knowing my wife and daughter are smiling and enjoying the time we have together.

                                                                                                              The money comes in when you are able to set aside a nestegg that will be there in case of emergency, or in case of opportunity (be it business or personal).

                                                                                                                                          Success to me is not being stressed out about money. Taking 1 nice vacation a year with my family, being able to go out to dinner with them when we want. Having time to enjoy my hobbies and being healthy.

                                                                                                                                          Not having money issues helps the rest fall in place BUT its not about material things anymore. When i first started in this biz I measured my success on how many "toys" i could accumulate. At the end of the day they were just things. I would actually rather save now. I own my house, no car payments, etc. My 1 vice is fishing and that can get expensive but oh well.
