Nico-t, its not a matter of bro brotherhood, in general I think people are a bit tired of accusations that are not real many times. Anyhow no need to fight with each other for nothing..
Regarding the pic in case, I am almost sure than if things are as -LOL- says, its a fault of an irresponsible designer....
In the past I personally had a similar mess when I was running an aff.program and got in trouble from a designer that used an picture without licence just because he liked it too much....
I dont think AWE or any other big company would like to get into legal trouble instead of spending 2$ in istockphoto or fotolia guys....No company takes this type of risks when licencing a pic is so cheap nowadays. If the use of the picture is not authorised I am sure AWE will pull it and handle it with the photgrapher.
In general its a good example that we all need to be more carefull, companies like Getty images have become very agressive lately( i know several people that got sued and it was just samples for work that was never paid or used commercially in the end...)and they are using pretty advanced online scanning software.
