Wordpress: Looking for a TGP style theme

A gallery theme, combined with a plugin should work. I can't remember the name of it but there's a plugin that will redirect to a site of your choice instead of your own gallery post.

When it comes to tweaking themse, I can only do basic stuff, like changing the header and simple stuff like that lol

I remember seeing a lot of TGP WP themes around, I just can't find the links or can't remember the names right now.

I studied the source code for that theme and did kind of a tgp, tube hybrid a while back for one of my sites (solostube.com).

Some post go straight to the post page itself in Wordpress and others go straight to hosted gals.

I didn't poke around extensively, but I very much liked what I saw.

It is a free theme. Search Google for "tutorial theme" or something along those lines. I just modified it a bit.

stay away from themes2wp.com they put nasty code in the functions.php which when activated cycles through all the themes you have in wp-content/themes and adds the same code, which edits all your comments with links.

Should be easy enough to modify to turn it into a TGP theme. I've been meaning to make a WP TGP myself with this theme, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I figure this should work:

Replace <?php the_permalink() ?> in the index and archive pages with

<?php echo $paysite_url; ?>

$paysite_url would link to the gallery instead of your post page.

As an added bonus, the post pages can have a thumbnail (or larger) image that links to your gallery, "icanhascheesburger" style copy and paste links, and a place for your visitors to comment on the gallery.

I'm going to play with it over the next few days.

Edit: And pay the dude his $15. Its been well worth it for me.

its best to go through the code in all functions.php file just to be sure.

i would suggest it for all theme sites, you never know.

the simplest way would be to just line up a bunch of partial width divs for your posts in a container on your index, instead of having the post divs reach the full width of your content column's container. they'll wrap around. i dunno, hard to explain in a couple sentences and i'm not expert in design technical terms, but they're really not that hard to do.
