watch it for the effects and the extravagant scenes, but don't expect the story to be great. same old formula, MJ still gets hostaged and suspended up mid air. part 1 is still the best.

also watch for tobey's in his evil mode, he looks adolf hitler in his hair style

I only want to know one thing about the movie - how do they explain the black costume? In the comic books it was an organism, and spiderman won the costume in the giant battle of the super heroes hosted by a guy named the beyonder. Yes, I am a nerd, but I just want to know if they lame up that explanation or do they do a good job explaining it since they need to take some creative liberty.

If you're in Los Angeles you can watch it at midnight til all day tomorrow.

In the comic book Spidey got the black costume during the Secret Wars written by Jim Shooter. I worked with Shooter at his old Defiant Comics company and he told me all about it.

In the movie the explanation is different but I won't ruin it.

its the symbiote thing... a symbiote is like a parasite. it needs a host to survive. it bonds with the host and amplifies every part of the structure (web, strength, agility, spider sense, etc.).

I remember i use to BEG for a company to do a spiderman movie years and years ago....and i'll never forget the day i heard the movie was being made. How excited i was.

But my god, what a piece of shit movie it turned out to be....along with the absolute lamest dialouge...i swear, i felt like i was watching a movie made for 2nd graders...(maybe i was?) I could barely make it through the fucking movie listening to the aweful shit spewing out of everyones mouth, I mean, who wrote this nonsense? My god that dialouge was horrid. I have NO IDEA how people are excited about it....it baffles me to no end...

The second one sucks and so will this one...

That movie was a piece of fucking shit.

The dialogue between Peter and Mary Jane was right up there with Anakin and Padme in terms of complete and utter vapidness. Peter's transition into a jazz cat crossed with an emo after bonding with the symbiote literally had the entire cinema bending over double with laughter.

If i wasn't there with a friend, I would have left. It was that fucking bad.

2 of my friends saw a late night showing, said it was HORRIBLE. Like the movie is meant for 8 year olds, bad story line, boring scenes. Only thing they said was that the graphics were good, but they gave the movie a 6.5/10 overall. They said spiderman3 was so bad, it made the hulk look like a good movie.

it was good - still better then 95% of the crap that's in theaters - but it was the most convoluted and directionless of all the Spidermans - it kind of meandered all over the place with no sense of direction - it was overly long and they did the whole LOTR multiple endings thing which worked even less in this film. Overall, it tried too hard, but was still entertaining - I give it 7 out of 10 but it was the worst out of the trilogy.

ROFL, I'm glad that I wasn't the only one that didn't care for that part, I thought it was fucking stupid. My friends tried defending the scene, saying that they had to show the suit bringing that out in him, but I'm sure they could've used better methods.
