    for most people facebook is the internet

    i have chatted to a lot of people and found these days the internet is facebook.

    they do not seem to use any other site.

    in fact many do not seem to have email.

    everything regarding the net is facebook. online or as an apt.

          i find it odd to see girls who i used to go to school who were never a nerd like me, spend ALL day on facebook posting all about there day then playing online facebook games.

                  I tried to use Facebook and found it so boring. Nice to hear from girls I shot years ago but other than that I started to think WTF is it all about. GFY is far more entertaining. LOL

They've integrated their login into thousands of websites online, that feature alone is nearly impossible to top.

                                                                                          I'm speaking from a general point of view, and i just don't really see the point in it. Infact i'll change that, i just don't get how people can spend all day on it. Getting in touch with people is one thing, spending all day everyday on there is another. For me, people have turned Facebook into Twitter. Posting what they are doing now, what they are gonna do next, what they bought, what they are thinking of buying. I just don't see the need for this, or why other people are so interested in reading about it.

                                                                                              Just this past month an old friend sent me a link to their new business, I was invited to a halloween party from a distance friend with an RSVP option, a local band reminded me of a show their doing, pictures of my nephew dressed up for Halloween were posted, I found out a friend got engaged, read that one friend who was in the hospital is doing OK and watched a video of another friends wedding.

                                                                                              If you don't like FaceBook then you are doing it wrong.

                                                                                                  As the beginning of the online porn industry started, "you" were smart and the masses were "dumb". This made a boat load of money for all involved. It's the same game with different rules.

I can go on Facebook and talk to pretty much everyone I know in 2 minutes total. Otherwise I can sit here flinging emails and phone calls all fucking day because I'm some old school dipshit that can't comprehend why anyone would want to do it in a superior way. Millions of them (billions?). Not just by computer - through their cellphones, iphones, blackberries as well while they're out and about, in class, etc. Constantly. 24/7. Teens probably spend more time communicating through Facebook than they do in person, or even on the phone.

                                                                                                                              No one expects this to apply to an 80 year old pornographer...

My daughter uses her Blackberry and Facebook to organize and co-ordinate her college projects and assignments.

To the point where it'll become an unnecessary inconvenience. Then all that will be left at Facebook is a bunch of people you don't want to talk to, Farmville, and annoying relatives who will still phone you every Sunday.

                                                                                                                                                                                          Facebook is a middleman - and no matter how big they get, middlemen are always expendable.

They could really take a big chunk of market from eBay if they did so.

They are middlemen for everything people want to do online, everything. Nobody wants to deal with 4000 services when it's under one login and one roof.
