Is it wrong to call the police on a church for too much noise and DTP?

I'd go over and talk to the church people first. They may comply and tone it down.

if not, then it's time to make calls, blast speakers, fling poo etc. :D

most cities have noise ordinances.... up to 10pm or so... call the police and complain.. you shouldn't have a problem.

call the cops, you're probably not the only one who's annoyed by this noise in the early hours and your community wont hate you for fucking up the church.they'll be thankful for a deep sleep

Well, I have already had problems with them in the past and we are not on good terms. It would be best if I didn't go over there.

Long story short, I got into it with the preacher when he had my car towed.

Since it is across the street, the parking lot is right there and they allow us to park there any time but Sunday mornings. No problems. So one day my neighbor comes out and tells me they are putting my car on a tow truck. Its a BMW and they had it cranked up with the front (slight ground kit) touching the ground when I walked out. I FLIPPED!!!!

I told him to take it down right then and there, he would not, so I told him to call a flat bed, he would not. Said he was taking the car. Then the priest started in about he didn't know it was my car but was going to have to tow it anyway because they already called them. I had been parking this car there for about a year. I have no idea how he didn't know it was mine. Plus the neighbor we are in, we all know each other and look out, so he could have asked anyone if there was any question.

So he gave me an attitude and I started SCREAMING horrible profanities at the priest. I said things that I am ashamed of to that poor man but he ran away in fear and was praying out loud. I was cursing him as he ran and talking crazy shit about how I was a Satan worshiper and would cast demons upon him. It was a crazy scene. Just insane. I would have loved to of seen it from a 3rd persons POV.

Things started to get hairy with the driver but then he ended taking it down for $50. Asshole.

So there it is... me and that church do not get along. You could say we have a history. heh

My unfortunate experience with noise ordinances is they end very early in the morning. Sometimes as early as 7AM. Used to have these annoying neighbors in a cul-de-sac that let their fucking children ride big wheels under my window at 7:30AM. Turns out the police couldn't do anything, so when they did it I'd get up, take my dogs out on their leashes and start playing with them in the same cul-de-sac. When Rottweilers appear, small children and their parents dissapear.

They do that right across the street from my condo. I think I'll blast NIN Heresy out the windows.

Call the police and bitch. That is what you pay the cops for. Hell, maybe they are using the sounds of the music/bells to drown out the sounds of them raping young boys...

Well if it's like that then the gloves are off.

1. Call cops. In fact, call the cops every time there's an infraction, even if it's 5 times a night for a week.
2. If that doesn't get them to shut up, fire up the stereo on their busiest day (Sunday morning perhaps?) and crank some BOC "don't fear the reaper" etc, ministers and priests HATE Blue Oyster Cult with a passion beyond reason.
3. If THAT doesn't work, sneak over there on Saturday night and paint all their door handles with poo juice. If you don't have a dog you'll have to use your own. Go have a big feed at Taco Hell and then let em have it.

Their congregation will complain about having shit-stinking hands, it will be glorious.

Crank up your stereo to match their db level..
If the cops can't do anything to them, they can't do anything to you.. If they try, and write you a citation, let it go to court and present your case..

They should be given no preferential treatment..

here the bylaw is no noise from 11pm-8am. I get guido and jose and the boys mowing the lawn though at 8:01AM sharp during the week. But ya I feel ya, I need silence when I sleep.

yea sounds like the black church next door to me, neibours complained but they cr ied freedom of religion crap, but when their shit is over at 9pm they will be bumping their music hiphop may i ad for another 2 hours from their suvs and shit. so your pretty much scrwed on this one just play your shit loud and proud..
