Some things are better left unsaid.

Looks like this isn't one of them though. I am however wondering what Stu has to say about all that. Neither of you strike me as the type that would purposely fuck anyone over.

Drama.... time to take some dramamine. :D

1. I had no breaks and took only a handful of lunches all year, plus I left after everyone else many times at the end of the day. Heaven forbid that I made a few hundred posts on GFY through out the year. Seemed convenient when you'd ask me who's who, who works for who and other info you didn't know about.

2. "finish our GTS backend system that has been a work in progress for oooooh say 2-3 years now. (don't ask LOL!)" Ever had a programmer step into a very very badly written script and be expected to fix (not redo) parts by the end of the day, rather than give it the time it deserves? It wasn't even done to begin with. I had entire sections missing.
Why not tell people why you authorized the entire company's request to have it completely rewritten in the first place?

2.b Let's use Submit Passes as an example. Anyone have issues with SubmitPasses when GTS took it over?? A show of hands please?
This would be because Mark bought it without checking anything... they had ZERO records. No client list, no list of current purchases... nothing. Infact, MANY people were submitting using passes that they hadn't paid for in over a year. And they bought it, with no idea what was happening. That would be messy enough, but then they say "we bought it on the installment plan so we need to integrate all of the SP info (which there is none) into our current really badly pieced together backend that you took over.... and you have a week!"
So I had 40 hours to piece together a shoddy excel sheet of clients/passes written that day (inventory system), into a scheduling system. It was never built to handle inventory of that nature. But they didn't care. It had to be done by the end of Friday.
How do you think that turned out? Even if it had gone perfect, many people's info got duplicated (SP and GTS clients joined) and like I said, many passes were never legit to begin with!!
And of course, they refused to just continue using the old SP system, or to build a new one. It had to be integrated in 5 days.

3. After my manager left (translation: was fired 2 days before x-mas just to save on the vacation pay), my issues were this:

It's still not healed completely thank you very much. Why? Because I got back to work for GTS sooner than I should have rather than getting all the bed rest I should have. Couple that with another surgery on my face and I was in rough shape.

4. Paid me for the month I was away? Yeah, with 3 sick days, personal days and vacation days. SJ and I had to squeeze every available minute for me to still have some kind of income while I was stuck in bed. If I did go back, I'd have 0 sick days, no vacation or anything else but work ahead of me for the year. But I didn't complain because that's the reality of being out under those circumstances.

5. Did I work from home? Why don't you ask your employees rather than just post an assumption? I worked closely with Matt, SJ and Ken daily. Sometimes even on week-ends. They won't post... they work for you. I would never ask them to. But you could ask them yourself. Infact, ask anyone there how much I worked, on any given day. I dare you.

6. Make up your mind, is it 99% done or do I have to start from scratch? You said both in your post.
The truth was, on my server and my test server, it listed the schedule data perfectly via a join table. On your server, it duplicated the data. It was a mysql issue. Either the host would have to fix that or I would have to go through and change all the queries/lists. Was it my fault? Yes and no. I assumed that if it worked great on 2 servers, it would on yours. My bad. It was hardly a MAJOR issue. Everyone in the office loved the new system. Also, you neglected that all of these demos I gave kept coming with more feature requests.

7. I never said I'd sell it, I said "At least I have a 99% working system that anyone doing sales can use." Where does it say the word "sell" in that sentence? If I don't get paid for my work on my own time, my script is mine. Simple as that.

8. I never looked for work, it looked for me. Mayors Money, Homegrown, ATK and others. That happens when you have a reputation ahead of you. I turned down offers all year.

9. Still don't have a working system? What about this?

Even though I was insisting that I am still going to get it in to you. Granted, I'm in no hurry to use up my free time any more... but I never intended on not delivering, despite constant changes, requests and.. well, server fixes needing to be made.

10. I sent AaronM? I never made a single post on the matter, with a fake nick or otherwise. AaronM was aware of the situation and took it upon himself to express his own opinion. Seriously, if you know AaronM, you know that no one sends him to do anything. He does what he wants.

11. As for your legal being in touch, I wonder what they'd say about a former employer hindering the employment possibilities of a former employee in such a manner as this. Infact, I think I'll find out.

I don't know about all of that. I recall seeing DH give a new car to an employee for his b day.

I think a lot of these situations end up being someone taking a job with someone else and thinking they will still be bro's like they are on GFY.

But, when it comes to biz in all actuality who you are on GFY don't really mean all that much. A lot of adult webmasters are crybabies, and they all want to be that bling bling pimp, but a lot of them lack the motivation.

To me if you work for someone, you're not smart enough to work for yourself.

I don't know Stuart for shit, so I cannot comment on this situation, sucks that it did not work out. I can say I see Stuart posting on here really often.

But even if you didn't like how you were treated as an employee of his, why on earth did you completely trash the house he was renting for you and stick him with the cleaning bill?

Yeah well, try to argue with me that I was out for any other reason than bed rest and this is what you get.

Does DH have a lawyer? The first rule is that you NEVER EVER talk poorly about a former employee. No matter what they did, no matter who they fucked, it just opens the door to lawsuits. It's why most major companies will not give references good or bad about former employees.

The courts will side with the employee 99% of the time. Going on the biggest adult board and defaming former employees in an attempt to stifle future employment opportunities is begging to be sued. A court won't give a shit about fake nicks, whining former employees, or any of the stuff that you are complaining about. They'll see the posts that defame your former employee and his work, and they'll slam you for it.

And yes, it was a train wreck.

Then, I was authorized to start a whole new system, from scratch, to manage ads, passes, sites, clients, a new client back end, a new siteowner back end, invoicing and WAY MORE than the old busted ass backend...

And what brought on this drama?? I had surgery, worked from home and then banked another 59 hours of my own time and he was upset that it wasn't finished.

The first one, that wasn't done took years and years. Mine took a month and 59 hours (a standard work week is 40).... and was only 99% done so he was pissed and told me to stop work and he wouldn't pay me.

Years, not done... month and 59 hours of personal time following surgery... 99% done.

Nah, it can be a little uncomfortable if I sit for too long still, but for the most part, it's just annoying as it still kinda scabs over or bleeds a bit. I can't stop myself from sitting and working and that's preventing it from healing over.

I saw you for the first time like a month and something after the surgery, and you were still walking funny. I know several who have had surgeries for the same thing, and they say it is among the most painful, not to mention the slowest healing (well duh! You have to sit eventually and that slows the process down), of any medical procedures you can have on that level. Glad to hear it's mostly better though

You know ,what people need to realize is that Stuart hasn't posted at all bashing DH, He offered some credibilty to my story and now DH is on a rampage.

I know for a fact Stuey could bring A LOT of information about Mark and GTS to light, as a programmer, he knows alot more of what was really going on behind the scenes , and could easily let it all out.

I HATE to say this but it looks like StuartD is in the lead...If I wasn't a pornographer, I would have finished my masters and would be a software engineer..And I know for a fact that adding new features on all the time can fuck up the software big time...

The complete requirements for the system should have been stated up front...Which is why requirements analysis is a very mundane yet important task.

I may not know StuartD the best but I did employ him for some time and would call him a friend. When he was my employee, I had very very few problems with him. Stuart was constantly looking for ways to improve our business and developed several small scripts on his own time to make day to day life easier. That kind of employee is hard to find. I eventually had to fire Stuart due to my own fuckup, I lost a rather large client (long story) and simply couldn't afford to continue his employment.

Why is DH on such a rampage lately? I dunno, I'd assume it's because of his wife's hospital ordeal. I've watched gfy for years (since inception) and DH used to seem like a fairly humble, hard working and nice guy. Lately, his posts are all bashing and pimping - look at me and my new leased car and new pricey tv and ski lodge and oh btw I have a real estate empire and blah blah.

All kidding aside, I fucked up my spine and it still hurts from time to time, sometimes more than when the initial injury occurred. I hope I will not need surgery, the spine isn't something to be fucking with.

I think so too. DH is stressing too much over his wife maybe, or is his financial situation taking a turn for the worse? Doesn't make sense for him to get all dirty and muddy like this.

It's hard to judge repair costs on a house too. I've been fucked over by a greedy landlord in the past. Anyone who has rented before knows that landlords will fuck you out of every dime of your security deposit that they can.

I thought I'd hear about huge parties where feces was flung on the walls and ruined floors from a giant sand pit that was setup in the living room. But the damages are some scratches on a hardwood floor in an old house, some dirty carpets, and some broken things that weren't his fault allegedly? Sounds like every single place I've rented to or from someone. Most sounds like wear and tear, and part of the shit that comes along with renting out a place.

And I can't imagine how bad that back injury sucks. I've thrown my back out moving stuff and it basically kills any productivity for a week. Back injuries are the worst and affect every inch of your body.
