Train crossing Brooklyn Bridge: Thomas Edison film, 1899

Edison used to charge $22.50 for that video. adjust that for inflation...

I didn't realize film was that old, that's really pretty cool.

There is some video Edison took of the Diamond mines in Kimberly South Africa from around the same time, I'll see if I can find the link...but the quality is surprisingly good

thats actually pretty cool. I wonder what was going through peoples minds back then in 1899... "one more year and its a new century, I wonder what it will bring?"

versus now... "damn, I dont have internet connection? I have to be the first person to post 'Happy New Year' on my facebook page"

There are some great old films, just like this one, in the archive at the Eastman (Kodak) House Museum...which is only a mile or two from me

              Spend you some brain.

My favorite is the kid dancing. He's got the moves all the way back in the 1800s
