I haven't even planned on seeing it. Almost every superhero movie taken off a comic book has blown chunks. They just do too much dicking around with the original story lines. In this case the whole back story on Venom had to have been different than in the comic book.

Last comic book crossover I saw that I like was the new TMNT (surprisingly).

It came out yesterday in Japan and other Asian countries. It's "golden week" here, which is a week of national holiday, so it makes sense to release it on Monday.

Usually we get movies way after (300 is coming in June here).

Honestly this boggles my mind... Maybe Tobey got a big paycheck?

The special effects were omnipresent... must have cost a lot but not 200 million.

Anyways I've seen worse movies... but Spiderman 3 doesn't live up to the hype IMO.
