    splitting wmv files

    any good software to cut say, a 100mb file into 10, 10mb chunks? i tried boilsoft's splitter but the 2nd chunk's first 10 seconds of video are the same as the last 10 seconds of the previous chunk...

              windows has a program called "windows movie maker" in start>programs>accessories>entertainment

              it will do what your asking.

                              You are doing something wrong then. Boilsofts works very well, and is the only one Ive seen that does not fully re-encode to split it.

                                      mine, boilsofts splitter, will often mess up the time I selected with .wmv files... If i select a 15sec clip.. it will sometimes make it a 9sec clip...

                                          VideoCharge does pretty much everything I need.. Splits, Watermarks etc.. Nice software.. Movie Maker will get the job done, but it is 'clunky' for want of a better word.. I am pretty sure VC will do what you need.

                                                      my wife uses boilsoft and it works great for her. try shutting off all the anti virus ,spyware etc before using.
