    Why are razors and toilet paper so expensive?

    Why are razors and toilet paper so expensive?

    Does anyone really know why? Is their alot of technologies and material needed to make razor blades? Seriously I don't know.

    Toilet paper for 12 rolls of double ply is a little under 10$. Crazyness.

    Im looking at way to save money in my day to day life and I can't get over the prices of those two products.

    What are so other expensive for no reason products besides Bottled water?

                                  By the way, 12 rolls usually last a long time... I don't know what you do with your toilet paper...

                                      I found a dude on the corner near my place that sells stolen razors. We offered me 8 gillette mach 3 razors for 20$ and it got me thinking about this issue.

                                              It's because everyone uses TP...as for razors, they have to make back the cash because the amount of money spent on Marketing and packaging. It's insane the amount of packaging that goes into razors and blades...

                                              Just like feminine hygiene products, they are expensive as hell and we pay tax on them also, it's ridiculous!

                                                          No doubt. But here in the States, most people don't have bidays (spelling). When I was in Egypt, everywhere I went they had them and nothing is better than rinsing off your asshole after some spicy food has been digested.

                                                              I can't wait until Gillette comes out with a 6 blade razor, just so they can tack an additional $3 on to refill blades.

                                                                      The Walmarts around here all lock up the razor blades. When they take them out for you, they either send them to the customer service/checkout line or they walk you to the checkout.

                                                                      Apparently they are a high theft item.

                                                                                      A lot of razor blade cost is marketing.

                                                                                      And then I'm sure they justify at least part of the cost on their blades in that they 'lose' money in selling the initial razor package. The good news is that so long as your face isn't super-sensitive, you can use those new razors for quite some time before having to replace 'em... I mean, I get away with using my mach 3 razors for a month or maybe even 2 per blade... buying 8 blades per year - even at retail prices - isn't a whole lot per week, when ya think about it.

                                                                                      As far as toilet paper goes... I dunno what the cost is, but I've used cheap toilet paper before, and I'm more than happy at paying the extra cash for the premium stuff... The key is conservation. If folded correctly, there's no reason that you should use more than 2 or, at most, 4 "squares" of tissue per "seating". Again... the per 12-pack cost might be a bit much, but when you think about how much it's costing you per week, it's probably not as much as you think it is.

No need to buy the pillowy soft stuff unless your ass is sensitive like my husbands. We always had to buy the softest most expensive for his ass. Razors. Ugh. Can't get away with buying cheap on that. I tried and cut my fucking legs up. I rather spend the extra and have knick free skin. LOL Right now I'm using Soleil and I like them better than the Venus razors which was my fav for a long time.
