    Vonage going downhill?

Ive had vonage for a while now (almost 3 years i believe) and recently its been really going downhill. Almost every call I make, the other person says "i can not hear you, its really choppy."

Almost all of my business is done thru my cell phone; office and toll free numbers forward to cell but messages are left on vonage voicemail system. Ive complained to them many times, but for the past month, it seems like now every phone call I make the person can not hear me. Ive messed with all the settings, did everything I could but still sounds like crap.

Vonage CS claims it is my internet speed... bs! I have a 10mb line and have no upload problems. Anyone else use them and experience this?

I'd say they are going down hill soon because they lost that patent case with the phone company.

Hahahah...We experience the same thing. I have no clue as to what's been causing it, but it's been like this for about 5 months. :\

I don't use the phone enough to really care though.

I have had them for about a year and a half.

The price went from $28 total when I started to a little over $34 total because of tax increases. Also, about a month ago calls to certain international numbers I call often do not work.

I have hooked up IConnectHere and Broadvoice to see how they work. So far both of these companies are working ok (so far)

I honestly didn't realize they had been around that long. I remember back in 1995 people were talking about early voip-like technology that would eventually replace long distance and the phone companies were all over it.. haha... only took 12 years for it to go mainstream.

                      I dumped Vonage for SunRocket.

Got 2 full years for $200...when they were running a special.

I use skype, and my brother has vonage. Skype is much worse, just be happy you have Vonage for now. I hope Skype improves their infrastructure. I can upload at like 80-90k/s so it's definitely not me.
