I catch quite a few Speckled Sea Trout at night off the end of my dock. I have a "Dusk till Dawn" light out there and it attracts tons of bait fish & shrimp. The trout love to hang out there and eat. Mostly only 2-4 pouders though. Perfect for the deep fry
Dolphins are mammals that breathe air and have lungs. They don't have gills.
I don't know what kind of fish you have there, but it's no dolphin.
Its a dolphin fish.. other wise known as a mahi mahi... and thats not a baby that a decent size, bigger than a peanut, smaller than a big bull, perfect eatin' size.
I have no siggy and I want no siggy.. damn no I have one again!
Ok, I "porpoisely" made this thread title just to fuck with everyone and get some views, lol.
I would never harm a porpoise, or bottle nose dolphin, etc etc... the mammal kind.
But yes this is a real Dolphin. Dorado, Mahi Mahi, whatever you want to call it.

that's freakin great... fishing is my life... I try to go as much as possible... I've recently been trying to learn fly fishing... it's been really difficult catching some trout... where are you located?
I bought a bag of frozen mahi mahi at CostCo today. I'm so bad ass!
Haha, love mahi mahi. How do you guys prepare it?
i like dolphin fresh and broiled with butter garlic and lemon juice,
be sure and cut out the blood line incase they haven't already, that's the dark red line that you see down the middle of the filet. They may have done it already.

I've never fished down there but I've watched a few fishing shows from down there. I'd love to try it.
As soon as I got the dorado on the boat, we hooked a 120lb blue marlin
this was early in the morning, at about 7am and we didnt hook another fish the rest of the day. I ended up feeding all my baitfish to the fuckin pelicans or whatever those big birds are that chase the boats back to the docks.
The 1st mate filet'd the dorado and we took it to one of the local restaurants there and had it made into some awesome fish tacos. Then I flew home with the worst case of the shits I've ever had in my lifetime
