It's not just on Obama thought... The Bush admin is mostly responsible for the bailout and the economic colapse. The whole system is fucked up.

Those are all huge things. I wish he'd tackle some of the smaller, easier things he promised. I was optimistic and never expected him to fix everything in one term but damn, do something everybody can rally around.

One thing about the health care bill that was good that nobody talks about is how anybody that wants insurance can now buy it. There are no such things as pre-existing conditions to keep you un-insurable. The media has done a horrible job letting people know that they don't have to wait until 2014; there is gap coverage right now for as little as $144 a month for those under 30 and it only goes up to like $350 for the oldest people.

In that example, the media is to blame. It is all doom and gloom, but the sickliest people, who need coverage the most can now have it -- if they pay for it, which is how it should be.

He's fucked up big time on DADT.

Those two issues are at the front of my mind because they are both important to me.

Tax cuts for the middle class; they're there. Not huge, but there.

Wall Street bailout started before him but he is also bailout friendly and gets half of the blame.

Contrary to all of the doom and gloom that we are spoon fed, the economy is recovering. Economists are optimistic. They don't make it on the news much, but the big convention for banks/foreclosures took place (at the Diplomat in Hollywood FL -- that always makes me lol) last week and the banks were all the happiest they've been since this mess started.

I still think Obama is a sellout though. He promised a bunch of things to a bunch of different people and Wall Street and the military industrial complex seem to benefiting the most from his presidency.

It's late, I'm tired ... so sorry if its not coherent.

Not as many posts as I'd hope but it is middle of the night.

The Obama admin. cut taxes for middle-class Americans, expects to make a profit on the Wall Street rescue and has overseen an economy that has grown for the past four quarters.

That pretty much right there says what their biggest fuck up is.. They don't have a clue how to communicate to the masses... Short sentences.. Clear concise messages... play to peoples fears... don't be afraid to call the repubs "liars" (in a politically correct manner) if that's what they're doing... attack the repubs with the type of stuff that puts fear in the people of repubs... They get clobbered all the time by the repubs who have a bunch of short sentence slogans they use time and time again that have proven to be nothing but lies they spread.

I actually wish Obama would go ghetto on them for awhile.

"You are one dumb motherfucker" or "you are a lying ass cracker" then finish up by pointing out how they are dumb and / or lying.

This has always been a problem of Democrats though. Republicans are team players and can stick to their retarded messages in bulk. Give the monkeys a talking point on Fox morning shows and idiots will be repeating it on GFY before noon. Democrats think everyone should make rational decisions based on their own experiences so they often argue amongst themselves. They can't stay 'on message' as well because everyone is throwing in their own, well thought out opinions. Those don't work when dealing with a sea of idiots. Slogans are much more effective on the tards.

Yep... The Dems are always defending their shit which just can't be done effectively.. They need to get in front of things and attack instead... But as you said, it's always been their problem. They just can't get it thru their thick skulls.

Obama's biggest fuck up was running for President when he did. No one could have succeeded. He should have waited 4 or 8 years and then ran.

He let the right frame everything so that no matter what good things are done, it is framed as bad.

To me that is his big fuckup, lack of communication.

That's a wonderful but inaccurate liberal song.
First, TARP For banking was a Bush plan. So forget giving obama credit for it. What obama DOES get credit for is bailing out GM. With money we will NEVER get back. http://www.consumerismcommentary.com...loans-in-full/
Next, the Bush tax cuts WILL expire December 31st. More than wiping out any imaginary tax cuts obama is claiming. How much is a 5% tax hike on a family earning $50k a year? All praise obama! http://finance.yahoo.com/taxes/artic...dvice_strategy
Also, the obama lies that obamacare will "lower insurance rates" and "if you like your insurance plan you can keep it" are already exposed for what they are.
Lastly, he's run up 5 trillion dollars of new debt and he's nowhere near done. Do you have any idea how crippling that debt will be on an economy that will go nowhere in the next 5 years?

Trust me, the liberal media has done a wonderful job covering for their golden boy

But we did get some money back, unlike the other auto bailouts we've done when we got nothing for our money - now we YOU own part of gm. So either way the bailout would have happened, under any president - yet you're mad at that guy that did it the better way.

The tax cuts should expire, they are pointless and not working. At that, the "previous" tax rate that it's returning to includes our largest economic growth in history. Unlike anything that has happened with the current tax cuts.

Obama hasn't run up 5 trillion in debt, he hasn't spent 5 trillion on anything... you'll never be able to show where or how he spent 5 trillion because he hasn't.

So what media channel is that spews Obama spent 5 trillion dollars? You may want to start listening to the liberal media (whoever that is). If you take in much more from the other side your head might explode.

Why do you think your economy is fucked up in the first place? Because the Republicunts have been lowering taxes on the top 1% for the last 30 years.

Like it or not, it costs money to run this Country. Even before wars, bailouts, healthcare, whatever. It costs roughly 800 billion a year to keep this boat moving.

Tax.com - "Total income was $2.74 trillion less during the eight Bush years than if incomes had stayed at 2000 levels."

Even if you ended the wars... we would still be short. The countries average wave has fallen so much during that period, during those tax cuts - and the 1% has climbed so much, that it's not possible to get ahead with the current tax setup even if you cut most spending.

You at one time supported the wars, bad Saddam, bad terrorists. Now you think it shouldn't be paid for. (fyi, it wasn't paid for during those 8 years) - And you think the mind of liberals is twisted....

I guess on idiot street you can't cut spending, you can only raise taxes on your betters.

So what do the Republicans have in mind to cut, if they kept the current tax setup with Bush, that will balance everything out?

I've heard the words budget freeze tossed around, which doesn't meant he Gov stops spending money - either way, even if we did a budget freeze with the current tax setup we would still be short.

It's not like the Republicans are going to end the war on the terror or reduce what actually costs us buckets of money that would make a difference. So good luck explaining how you're going to cut another 500 billion, before those costs.

What would that do to help our Country? A 10% cut would still increase our debts/deficits, everything every day, it's child's play.

The government should live within it's means and those means should be whatever 15% income tax across the board pays for
If you reduce all tax to 15%, dropped the Gov size to match it, you would still go bankrupt and couldn't catch back up, ever. At that you would have no border security, military, research, most schools would fail across the nation...

Reality is, the entire system/structure is broken, from the local, to the State, to the Fed. Reducing the Fed tax to 15% would simply mean the States increase taxes to pay for services that nobody is going to give up, like public schools.

The only time it does is when capital gains tax on money brought in for investments is reduced to under 10%. Just that one part of it. During that time they end up collecting more in tax revenue from the growth that happens from those investments.

However, currently companies are net profiting more than ever, owners paying them selves more is increasing, while the average persons income is dropping.

Until people "are buying" Companies will not hire, you can rip corp tax to nothing and they CAN'T grow without buyers.

No president is going to fare well during these times. My guess is that Obama will be knocked out, a republican put in his place, and that republican will do just as poorly.

It's not that either of them is doing anything bad or worse than the other. The truth is, as a society, we have come to expect everything instantly. Everyone thought that "change" mean "we'll fix this quickly" and there is, in very simple terms, no quick fix for this.
