Both are godlike legends, but for me it has to be Elvis. Johnny may be the man, but there is simply no one like Elvis. He not only sang rock and was himself "the man" in the 50's and 60's, but with his amazing voice and overwhelming persona he successfully sang country, gospel, and pretty much every other kind of music. He sold millions of records no matter what the hell he sang.

He wasn't merely a trademark, that's retarded. He was a guy who was basically blessed with about a 1000 times more talent than most, period.

No disrespect to Cash, but he's no Elvis. I'm guessing most here aren't old enough to know just how huge Elvis was back then. Only the Beatles rivaled him.

Cash is still relevant this many years from his prime and years after his death...his music is STILL rock and roll to the core.

i like cash. i listen to a lot more elvis though.
