Got the domain, hosting, someone to design...now what?!

What are you doing with a domain, hosting and a designer if you don't know how to make a website?

I don't think you understand and/or I worded wrong. I know how to make a website. I'm not looking for a tutorial on web design.

I'm basically asking: what do I do with the the free pics and videos from the affiliate (AKA my sites content)? How do I attempt to make money with them? I'm looking for a tutorial on getting started with an adult site. (Again though, most I read are like: don't give up! Buy traffic! I know how to do all that for non-adult websites. I'm looking for a tutorial on what to do before all that for adult.)

Decide what you are going to build.

Traditional way for a newb is to start with freesites and/or galleries.

Find some TGPS/Linklists to submit to (like Greenguys, The Hun, whoever)

Read their rules as to how many pictures per site/gallery, size of the pics, how many outgoing links, whether you can put the big pics on html, etc.

You want to find at least 6 or 8 tgps or linklists.

Build galleries or freesites, using the content from the sponsor (or buy some content). Build them to the specs of the lists you are going to submit to.

Then get some opinions on them from folks here and then submit them.

Standard gallery page will have usually about 15 pics with 2 or 3 sponsor/banner links. Then they will also have recip links (links to the lists you are submitting to and hoping to get listed by)

A free site is usually composed of a warning page that links to a main page and the main page links to 2 gallery pages.

A trick to getting the most out of your build is to build a free site and make the gallery pages compatible with being submitted as tgp galleries.

After you have submitted to your first bunch of lists, go find some more lists, mirror your pages and subnit them to the new lists.

There is a fair amount of technical information that you must have a handle on...

A basic list of required knowledge:

1.) HTML
2.) Java
3.) PHP
4.) MySQL

5.) Domain Name hookup ( Dynamic DSL or static host )
6.) Website layout ( design )
7.) Search Engine Optimization ( SEO )
8.) Google "black SEO" ... Yea... really do !
9.) Learn where to buy traffic

10.) check around for established associate programs to use...
11.) AIM, ICQ, IRC are just a few chat programs being used...
12.) If you have any question... watch who you ask... check out their website(s).... There are more rank noobs who claim to be pros then there are pros...
13.) keep using GFY and try to network with the actual pros...

14.) IF this is too much then don't give up... there is a bit of a learning curve...

15.) If your not a geek then hire someone to be...

Not to down your enthusiasm, but after you've been at this for awhile, you'll have a better understanding of why some of the tutorials you read featured motivational, pep talk with their "how to" stuff. It's going to take a lot of hard work and perseverance. Initially, all of the building and submitting you'll be doing is catering to all the free porn hounds out there... these are people very resistant to spending money on porn because they can get so much of it for free.

Take heed of what Ronzo just said...it is absolutely true! Once you get into the groove of submitting free shit to link list and tgp/mgp you must be extremely patient. When you see that there is very little money coming in after all the free shit you created and posted you must ask why you got into this business in the first place.

Perserverance is key. If you love doing it, keep doing it. If you are trying to get rich quick then you should get a job that matches your 401K contributions and stay there for 20-30 years!

I recommend that you look into using a submission program like Chameleon Submitter, and the half dozen others out there and use them to submit galleries daily.
