Hello,
This girl wants to start a single girl site. I had no idea but come to find out she has two tattoos. One on her the back of her shoulder and one on her stomach that you can see. Before this I had offered her $15,000 to start and 50% of the profit monthly as long as the site is updated. I fear she won't be interested if I offer her any lower money to start. She probably doesn't understand how much money per month this could be for her so she may be hesitant to start without up front payment. What is your opinion on all of this?

You do not include a reason and since I do not know you I would like to understand why you are saying that. Without you being mean please because I am simply asking you.

The reason for me asking is also because these sites have potential to make a lot of money and I thought if it does make 40k over X amount of months I am willing to give up 15k to start and a percent of the profit. Is that so wrong? I am not trying to be greedy by taking all of the money.

The solo girl market is a tough nut to crack. Money can be made in the solo girl market but I would never pay one of my models this kind of money upfront. I think you're not taking a lot of things into consideration, for example you're going to have hosting costs, affiliate payouts, CCBill alone will take up to 16% off the top for processing, design, templates, the money it costs to produce more content, etc. I am not sure what kind of contract you have in place with her, but I am sure if you say "I'll pay you 50%" in the contract, and then later you tell her "That was after expenses" she will think you're trying to fuck her over and get pissed and quit, or take you to court and try to get 50% off the top if shes smart, or both.

And you're not even sure what shes willing to do?

There are a lot of ways to keep your models happy without paying them INSANE amounts of money. And $15k upfront and 50% is totally stupid. Whos to say you don't pay her $15k and she shoots a dozen sets then skips town?

Thats steep, really steep. You might want to rethink for payment structure, by the time your done paying her and all your expenses. you might be in the hole.

She is cute, but cute isnt enough for a solo girl site. If she doesnt have the personality to go with the cuteness, you might end up losing alot of money.

OMG.... waaaaayyyyyyyyy to much money.... the 50% I can understand with a caveat that the performs continually.

I have this arrangement with one of my girls. The first time she doesn't fulfill obligations for 2 weeks or more, she loses her income and I have the right to continue on without her. Basically, if she bails, we still make the money without her.

A lot of good things have been said already and thank you for that. I want to briefly explain I am not offering her that money upfront without anything. I am offering it to her once the initial content is done. I havent figured out the terms of payment with that situation yet. I love star pimps idea of offering it in installments over a set number of months.
I do understand what some have said there is not a whole lot that may set her apart from the rest of the single girl sites. I wouldnt of come on here unless I thought I had something. She reminded me of a similar beautiful girl who has a single girl site. She is not as thin as in the green/blonde hair picture now she has some weight and a bigger butt. That may be another reason she is not ready for a single girl site. Overall I thought she did have some spark but I can understand what a lot of you are saying.

She is 18 and at this point I will take all of your advice and go back to her and give her a payment structure. I never planned to give 15k up front but I do apologize because I did not explain myself well enough for you to understand what I mean. Thank you for giving me advice to everyone who had posted I understand more about it now. I was thinking of doing what Kevin said and offering a weekly salary until the content is done and so is the up front payment. Then keeping it on a monthly percent if she continues to maintain the site.
I dont mean to make this conversation all about the payment structure but that is one thing I did not know how to present to her and now I feel it has been cleared up because of your advice.

Rather than a figure of $15k, tell her you'll pay her $200 a set (or whatever) for up to X sets prior to the site launch, then 50% net after that. That way your ass is covered if she flakes after 3 days.

Since she's effectively an equal partner how are you going to decide ownership of the content?
