"one last cig" or "I'm quitting next week" or "I quit once I finish the carton" doesn't work.
Get your self locked and isolated in comfortable environment for 3 days. Locked - because you'll be hunting for cigarettes (YOU WILL!), isolated - because you'll be angry and irritated as 1000 devils, attacking/bashing people for absolutely no reason.
Get yourself some business to do - work, books, games, whatever makes you excited/interested/busy enough to get your thoughts away from cigs.
Food - probably you'll eat tons, you'll find yourself chewing 24/7 for the next few days after you quit. Also, nicotene is a parе of your metabolism when you smoke, so once it's off be ready to feel uncomfortable in your stomach and guts, and most probably you'll gain some weight.
