We had a good off-shore wind earlier today - just perfect to get some para-sailing in on Lake Ontario. The water temp was still rather frigid, but the wetsuit made it bearable.
How hard is it to learn para-sailing like that?

Depends on the individual.
I used to be an avid waterskiier, and the wife often tells me to go fly a kite.
So I picked it up rather quick
Seriously tho, the most difficult part is co-ordinating the sail controls while keepin' your balance on the board and compensating for the wind changes.
SO NICE. Basicly, I fly paragliders, but I like kiting in any form. I have small 2,5 m2 kite and I use it for jumping around in strong wind. I would really like to try kitesurfing. Hopefully will get a bigger kite and try it on a small lake.
I plan to make some of my own designs. Got some software for building kites. Hope to see more photos of you kiting here.
Have a good winds!!!
