Fact: gay guys have anal sex, there is no vaginal sex to have
Fact: a lot of gay guys live a pretty promiscuous lifestyle. It comes with being guy. Being attracted to other guys makes it easier to live that lifestyle.
Sure it's not a gay disease. But having sex with a non sex worker female gives you something like a 1 in 20,000 chance that she has HIV. With transmission risk of vaginal sex being about 1 in 5,000 if she was to be infected.
The latest CDC numbers show that currently in the US 1 in 5 gay/bi guys have HIV. That's a 1 in 5 chance that you'll be exposed to HIV. Factor in anal sex transmission being 1 in 200 and as high as 1 in 50 and you'll see why it's spreading so fast in their community. Let's not get into the "down low brothers" that bring it home to their girlfriend and wives.
So take your politically correct stance if you want to....but numbers are numbers.
