Setting up the new office and it's kicking ass :)

I love doing carpentry work so i took on the job of building a bedroom / Bathroom and new home office up in what was the attic of my current home. well 2 moths later I'm all framed/rocked/plumbing/tile/carpet/electrical ... the works. I still have some trim work and closets to finish. but the office it's self is pretty cool. it's around 13'x24' I just moved in the 6'x7' cherry wood desk with a 1/2 inch glass top. talk about a heavy fucking desk,, the desk looks great and i have my 17" 20.1" 17" monitor set up on the main side and two 15" panels to the right along with the laptop stand. the layout is the best I've ever had to work with.

I also put in a 42' plasma connected to a HD Dvr cable box ( thing is great .. you can record 3 things at once unlike Tivo) I also have a PS3 w/bluray hooked up to the plasma. across from the TV i have a nice love seat with built in loungers .. these seats are fucking great. you can lay them back and sleep for hours if needed. I have the surround sound in the box but still have to get it set up.

I've never had to work from home before but with the new office and the fact that i like to work at night I think it will work out cool. It will give me more time to swim with the wife and kids in the afternoon break and then back to the grind at night ... I'm very excited about these changes .. the only issue will be keeping the kids out of my office while i work. I am putting in a few cams to watch the playroom/kitchen/living room/outside pool and the hall to my office. this way i know what's going on downstairs and i can help out the wife if needed or shut off anything the kids should not see before they come up.

This is going to kick ass ... well at least for the first 6 months and then I'll want to kill everyone in the house

OK .. just sharing my plan and day before i head off to bed. Pics to come soon.... I just have to clean up a few things first. Anyone here have any issues that come with working at home i should expect?

I'll be putting you down in the pull out couch in the messy playroom ..this way i can listen and laugh at you as you trip on toys all night in the dark and the cat attacks your feet ..

The office is like one of those bunker Safe Rooms ... it's on Lock down
