    Canadian banks that offer CHECKING CARD?

    Does anyone know of a canadian bank that offers a checking card?

          Checking card? No, we advanced well past that up to a thing call an ATM card, and most stores have these amazing thing called debit machines.

                      We have prepaid mastercards like the ones are http://www.muchmusic.com/muchmusiccard/ and some money marts and www.prepayedge.com cards those have a mastercard logo on them

                      Most banks will give you a debit card you can use at an ATM, but we don't have checking cards.

                                      I went to open an account in the states.. they required me to have residency proof.. such as a power bill or landline bill... any other ideas?
