I do regret not hanging and posting more in the early years. Mind you I wasnt a lurker, I could never be a lurker for long. I just stopped reading boards believe it or not and did my own thing.
Came back in 2008 as the industry was getting harder to make money. Ill tell ya, everyone around here likes to be a tough guy and gfy and all that but most are good guys.
I doubt i would have made it, and frankly I havent really made out of the financial woods yet,
but without some inadvertent at times tips here at GFY, I never would have made it.
And without a few laughs along the way mostly at "sig whore" posts it would have been a harder road.
It is indeed the "sig whore" who makes this place. Not saying you or me but guys with upwords of 30000+ posts or so.
I recently installed FFvB and just for the heck took out all sig whores. It makes a totally biz board and indeed is easier to read. BUT it lacks the charm, It lacks the Captain Howdy pic or seeandsee saying he wants "extra cxhezze" on his pizza. lol
After I get done c&p ing 500 times I dont want to read serious shit. So I put everyone back.
I want "extra cxhezze" on my pizza. lol Priceless.
Edit: Not that seeandsee or CH (just examples) are not wms. They are I'm sure. They just like to post.
Which I can appreciate the contribution. Posting sucks up a lot of time.
