i have a domain with the word 'mate' in it where the meaning is like 'mating'. It's a pretty clever domain name, is this ok to use as kind of a witty name in a human context?
Because the word mating in dutch is solely for the animal world, but could be used in such a way i guess (as in a witty domain name for a dating site). How about the US?

so lets say you say something like....

            "from dating... to mating!"

that way people expect that a date will get them laid on that site... in a playful kind of way... or does that still has too much of a breeding / animal meaning to it?

Mate is a term for someone between a friend and an acquaintance. Or any stranger you meet.
