Spam E-Mail vs. Junk Snail Mail

What is the difference? If spam e-mail is banned, then why not junk snail mail. I know for I get a hell of a lot of junk mail every day. It clogs the system more than anything.

So, if one, why not the other?

Yes, they are both bad, and should be treated equally.

No, one cannot be compared to the other. Email controls are necessary to ensure the integrity of the digital mail system and not the other way around.

First of all SPAM is not illegal.
Stealing people's identity and resourses is illegal.
That's why most of the spam is illegal.
Most spammers use fakes FROM and do not provide any information to contact them. Some spammers use PROXIES to mail. By doing this you steal other peoples resourses.

P.S> I'd rather get spammed everyday than getting junk snail mail

I don't recive any junk snail mail. I have a sticker on my mail box that says I don't want it, therefore I don't get any. Silple as that.

Don't think any sticker would prevent me from getting junk emails though ;)
But as I only recive 10 or so spams a month I's really not a big problem either
