yeah, most likely it was your fault, for 1 of two reasons:
a) you bought cheap crap. don't do that, the expensive stuff lasts longer and is less likely to explode. spend an extra $10 or $20.
b) you don't take care of you crap, or you did something else to provoke it.
do the opposite of these, and you will have a very happy relationship with your computer
