I closed my non-exclusive content store because it was a pain in the ass, I closed my exclusive content production because I grew tired of it and went full time with Homegrown. Had nothing to do with being professional enough to get 2257 straight, my records are exemplary.

As far as what I make now, Paul.. I'm very comfortable.

I started this thread as a bit of sarcasm to some of the others offering people get rich quick schemes for little investment, in time, money, effort, skills or talent.

Most of them are aimed at gullible newbies in the hope they will drive a few hundred hits to a site that badly needs traffic. Well it appears to be badly needing to stoop to conning people into thinking it's easy.

So let me tell you the truth. If it were easy everyone would be doing and there would be little to no money in it. Except for the very hard working and talented. Or those who got in a long time before and feeding off newbies.

Zero to very little. If there were I would not be telling you to do it, I would not put up a blog explaining how to do it. Because common sense tells me you would be taking my business and money away. Jact and LM could only keep a content store running while the Net was desperate for content. Believe my story or theirs, choice is yours.

Ask some of the guys who have been doing it for years and they will tell you. None what so ever. You got better odds picking up a camera.

Look around you and see the people telling you the price of an average second hand car is a lot of money. That tells you more about them and your odds of making real money than anything else. A business where newbies drive traffic and earn $50,000 would not reckon $5,000 a lot of money.

So please the porn business is not a road paved with gold. It's hard work and a long slog. Or you do what Dirty White Boy does and shoot something illegal in the country he works in.

Anyone who thinks Jact was making $120,000 a year and closed it down because it was a pain in the ass, can follow his advice. I made assumptions on the basis I don't close down a business making money and would not think it a pain in the ass.

Hey asshat, pull your head out of your ass long enough to make the distinction. My non-exclusive content store wasn't making my living, I closed it down back in 2004 after a year of it running on autopilot mostly for the people I was reselling.

I made my money in content shooting exclusives. Or are you too dimwitted to understand that? My clients still ask me to shoot, I just couldn't be arsed.

Paul, if your head hadn't been up your ass for the last oh... god knows how many years, you would have realized that I did extremely well for myself in DESIGN AND MARKETING consultation for the last 4 years. I helped the hubby with small details on content but that was his business, not mine. I worked for pretty much every program on this board, and many that aren't. In fact, when you started your little website I remember offering you some advice on how to help out, since the teen niche is one of my specialities, but you shot me down and I never bothered to offer help to you again. Why not ask around, though, Paul, there's more than a few teen sponsors who've made serious bank from my work and continue to do so even though I haven't done a design for them in 2+ years. You sure know your shit, big guy.

Homegrown treat me EXTREMELY well, I love each and every one of them, and I work my guts out for them just like I have for every person I've ever worked with/for. Hard work gets rewarded.

Just for you though, Paul, they value me so little because I'm just useless grunt that they got me a crappy laptop so I could try to stumble along.

Hey Paul I have alot of questions........here are some!

First of all:

How could you as a shooter in the U.S. get by with shooting (legal content)?
most places are exempt as far as I know from porn shooting but I know there are ways around it!!!(please explain this if possible).....

secondly:

Do you know if there is still a market for content (off the web)?
it would seem to me at this point that alot of U.S. shooters are going to be going back into the magazine game because of 2257!

I do value your advice for you have made a total life and career of it (not as an unprofessional but a master)...............

As has been pointed out you do need to talk to a lawyer when opening a new business or a new level/side to the business. This applies if your selling peanuts or porn and is elementary. Yes there are areas in the the World that shooting porn is illegal. People who do it risk getting a visit from the police and worse.

Don't know anyway around the law.

The market off the web varies from some very poor to very good. For most of these markets 2257 is more important than the Internet. If someone does not want to give out their home address on the Net, they can move to an office, shoot for others or go find another job. I fully support 2257 and think it should be tight to comply with. Being able to comply puts you in an elite and the law does not cost us surfers. Sorry but this is business not a social club.

Shooting for magazines is easy, getting them to buy is tough. You're up against shooters who do not quit when the going gets tough.

Getting chicks to perform in front of a camera is the easiest part of my job, getting $5,000 to buy simple equipment is the second easiest part of my job.

This is 2007 and more girls today will do solo girl and lesbian work than ever they would in 1997, 1987 or 1977. A video camera good enough for professional work today costs from $1,000 and up. Back in 1987 a Beta Cam camera was $50,000.

Hence the market is saturated with content shot by people who picked up a cheap camera and have access to girls. Simple facts of life.

If it was as easy as having $5,000 to turn it into $10,000 a month there would be hundreds doing it. $5,000 is not a lot and those with $5,000 would have the market cornered.

My exclusive content business on the other hand was doing well and flourishing, but perhaps you missed the fact that I was deathly ill for 2006 and the drains on my health to shoot content were not worth it to me. It isn't all about money. You seem to think that everything is black and white, cut and dry, because I quit I must not have been making any money. You couldn't be more wrong.
