    Senate pass NASA bill

the bill calls for 19 billion dollars and 60 billion over 3 years
    http://www.universetoday.com/74673/h...a-budget-bill/

Obama changed the role of NASA for this bill and today 1,400 employee's are getting laid off
    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39463237...science-space/

Hamilton Sundstrand gets 729 million dollar space suit contract
    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39466741...science-space/

NASA chief heads to Saudi Arabia for Muslim outreach?
    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010...-saudi-arabia/

I guess NASA is doing things differently now
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
    think about that

Just find it funny that they get 19 billion and cut jobs and send the head guy to talk to the muslims, I mean, Gibbs said that they are still about space exploration, when did the Saudia Arabia start sending up ships to the moon?

I have 2 friends that work for NASA in Houston....today was the last day for my one friend and my other friend is expected to be fired within a year or so. I personally think it's a shame.

So should barry commit more tax dollars to nasa to keep those jobs Vend? Just a newsflash the right comes in and wants to cut half a trillion from the budget plan on lots of people losing their jobs. But the millionaires will get to keep their tax cuts so its all good.

Maybe they should learn to function responsibly? How can you be firing people when you just received 19 billion more dollars?

But I know you are from the left so you think the more something fails the more money should be spent on it.

so please explain to me about fiscal responsibility, why is the head of NASA headed to Saudi Arabia, why are they laying off 1400 employee's when they just got money?

Streamline the government, then you won't have to worry about taxing the rich, then the rich can invest the money that will provide more jobs. Just make it better to keep the business in the US, NAFTA should go bye bye.
Next end the entitlements for illegal aliens, they will relocate themselves when that happens

The rich dont invest tax breaks in new jobs that's a myth. If you are rich a tax break is just money to throw in the pile. Also if you got chinese making iphones for 30 cents an hour those jobs aint coming back. I dont care how big of a tax break you give.

Right now,it's too easy for outsourceing to other countries, the fact they made Toyota's in California means there are ways to build business in the US and fair trade is the best start, too bad we lost that plant

Yep my business of 10 yrs. You make 10 million dollars you get $100,000 tax break. Are you really going to run out to hire someone?
You have a biz you cut your payroll in half but the numbers are excellent even though sales are down profitability is way up. Because the people left are scared shitless and working twice as hard to protect their jobs. You get a tax break are you going to hire someone?
During the height of the bush years,my dad worked for one of the biggest health ins companies in america and they were constantly laying off and sending customer service offshore. They said it made them leaner and the chairman got a half a billion dollar bonus. He got the tax breaks and no one was hired but a shitload were laid off.

tax is nothing more than another expense... when expenses (taxes) increase, businesses feel increased pressure and so they are forced to "trip the fat" a bit...

lets say you make 50k after taxes now, taxes get raised and now you make only 40k... obviously you are 10k short now, so what will you do? obviously you will do whatever it takes to "trip the fat", which often means firing people...

or lets say you have 100k lieing around and are looking to invest it into some venture, lets say a restaurant that would hire 10 people... currently, you would make 50k per year from that restaurant...
but if taxes rise, you will make only 40k/year from that restaurant... at 40k/year it might not be worthwhile to you anymore, so you may choose to not to invest in it, and so no jobs get created...

seems pretty common sense to me...

If you have an accountant worth anything if you are only making 50k a year from a restaurant. You are paying close to nothing in taxes.
