Besides what you mentioned, position and pot odds to name two...neither of which would have played a factor in my decision to play pocket J's anytime with 3 A's flopped.
Online, betting pattern MAY have played a factor, although doubtful. Tells are nonexistent.
Live, in order of importance...cards, tells-betting pattern-position (those three can go hand in hand), and pot odds. You constantly hear play the man, not the cards. Yeah, that's great. Online, again, not possible. Even live, I'll take great cards over having tells on everyone at the table everytime. Tells can be misread or intentionally misrepresented. Cards ultimately can't. The best players in the world can't win a tournament being dealt rags ALL day. They'll win some pots sure, but eventually better cards will get them.Comment
