Ok now that I am awake and sober here is what actually went down, ignore my previous posts from the moment I got home drunk and angry
I was standing at the bar talking to someone and one tico kept going 'hey gringo! gringo!' so finally I turned an asked him in spanish ' what the fuck do you want?' and next thing I knew he and 3 of his friends were attacking me and the guy I was talking to (who was a tico also).
I managed ot grab one fo them and while his friends were hitting me in the head with bottles and fists I kept repeatdly slamming the one's head into a wall until he went down, lying in some blood. Then cops were coming so I headed home.
So no one is dead, I didn't see any news about it, and according to the other tico guy those guys always try and start fights to steal people's money (though as it turns out they didn't get anything off me I have my passport, cards and cash still).
So I only have some dried blood on the back of my head and a swollen lip but other than that, no damage done
