First, I want to say that Heather Zurich is fucking HOT!
There are many things about this incident that bother me:
1. I was shocked to hear Imus use the comedy show defense. Not because I dont think it is a valid defense (which I don't), but because I have never heard him say anything the least bit funny.
2. I am surprised that CBS hasn't fired him. This is the same network that fired Jimmy the Greek after he said blacks aren't swimmers because they aren't buoyant.
3. And finally, I would like to search the dorm rooms, computers and ipods of these fine young ladies. I would like to know what rap CD's they have in their collections. I would like to see the lyrics of all the songs on their ipod's and computers. Chances are pretty good that the lyrics that they PAY to listen to are much more derogatory than what Imus said.Comment

if i was Imus, i would be doing a lot less of trying to apologize and saving my job and doing a lot more of self defense and pointing fingers at rappers, comedians and double standards.

Sounds like valid points to me.
Still, hard to believe that with serious issues going on like the abuse of children and women, rape, murder, starvation right here in N. America, that the idle idiotic comment of some entertainment whore like Imus about a women's basketball squad gets so much media attention it virtually overshadows all else.
