Yeah I caught that as well.
It seems as though Michael O is doing the best he can under the circumstances and the real anger should be directed at Mallick. They tell him one thing and he tells the account holder. However after a certain point you would think you would realize that your reputation is starting to be harmed and insist that someone from Epass corporate make the statement instead.
But it is curious that he kept telling everyone things would be fine, being worked out etc and then he claims that once the dust settles he can then quit. If everything is settled and running smooth again in the future and you put up with the shit storm, why quit? Only reason would be you realize thats not going to happen.
On a side note, where are all of Mallick's ass kissers? The "he'll make it right" and "he's stand up" bros that came to his defense before. They were left out to dry that's for sure.
