Having a third party hold your money is just stupid when you can get a check.

I hope you guys aren't going to run to new middle men.

I for one am changing everything over to check. If you're a sponsor and you can't pay by check I will no longer promote you and I'll be changing or removing my links.

Check is safe ? Hmm, it can be lost, you can have car accident during your travel to bank, ufo can steal it etc. I think safest way is to walk personally to sponsor, take your money in gold nuggets and put them under your pillow.

A better advice would be to continue using an e-money system, but make withdrawals on a regular basis. Then either deposit it on your bank or stuff it under your mattress, whichever you prefer.

For many of us smaller webmasters $3-400 is still a nice chunk of money and having that much in a virtual account can't be helped when you can only draw out $300/day.

But isn't a check also allowing a third party to hold your money (temporarily)?

You still have to make sure your sponsor gives you the check, and has the account balance to back it up.

Dude, you are so out of the loop. I didn't collect all that money over years. It took me less than a year to get most of it from epass transfers. No one said anything to me until I passed 3k.

If anything everyone was transferring points to me without saying anything. Just shows you how scummy a lot of people in this industry are on both sides of the business.

Already knew this could happen so I only used it for smaller payments and withdraw fast. For bigger weekly payments I use SWIFT.

Sponsors however must fund with bigger amounts. Hopefully not too many of them are stucked.

Don't put all eggs in one basket. And that means ANYTHING related to this business.

It's been to long. They have already lost too much support. They will never come back from this even if everything is fixed tomorrow.

No but as I said, invariably any payment processor that works for adult is going to be run by adult industry people so you now have 2x chances of being screwed.

Any company in mainstream that deals with adult is going to find an excuse to screw them so you've got to run it through industry connections.

Unless you get one of the big programs with an almost stellar reputation to step up and start their own payment processor where their own company is on the line if it goes under you're going to get fucked.

Of course no one is going to do that because they know the bank could fuck them.

i think you are almost right mikesinner, but better go the whole way, and put a notice on your sites telling the customers you refer to affiliate programs to deduct your commission from their membership fee of the programs you support and send you a check direct... hmmmm or better cash, can't trust banks either.

checks: slow, high fees and holds outside the US, bounce, get lost, have the wrong information on them.

i'm not going to send a $50 check to some guy in slovakia to try out some links or traffic.

it's 2010. checks suck.
